Project overview
Aperture Works is the flagship first phase of L&Q’s major residential-led regeneration of the former Kodak Factory site in Harrow, Greater London. The development is spearheaded by L&Q in partnership with Harrow Council and is designed by BPTW. The first phase includes 246 high-quality affordable apartments in the first phase- 108 affordable and 138 private use apartments- 5 of which are duplex apartments- along with a health centre, food store, and flexible commercial spaces that extend Harrow and Wealdstone High Street. This development, once fully complete, will deliver around 750 new homes, with 51% designated as affordable housing.
Aperture Works is committed to sustainability and community integration. The development includes over 1.2 hectares of public green space, promoting a 'woodland landscape' character that connects residents to nature. The scheme also features walking and cycling tracks as part of the area's proposed green link. Additionally, the project provides flexible commercial spaces, a health facility, and a new school in later phases, contributing to the local economy and community wellbeing- creating a vibrant new neighbourhood for local families and new residents alike.
As part of L&Q’s delivery team, we are proud to provide specialist carpentry and joinery services across this landmark development, contributing to high-quality, contemporary homes and community spaces designed for modern living.
