Anti-Slavery Day 18th October 2020
With 40.3 million victims in forced labour estimated by the Global Slavery Index, and an estimated 136,000 victims in the UK alone, there are now more people enslaved than there have ever been. Labour exploitation is a lucrative business for organised crime and the built environment is no exception. Every year on 18th October, Anti-Slavery Day raises awareness of modern slavery, and encourages us to do what we can to address the problem. This year, develop your understanding on the topic and discover how you can spot the signs in the supply chain.
